EAT PRAY LOVE and my status...

Written September 20, 2013

It's been my second time to watch the movie, Eat, Pray, Love but it's different right now. Maybe because two years ago, I was still 19 years old and my world was entirely for school. Presently, I'm 21 years old, working already, and have many plans ahead. The movie defines my next move for tomorrow. I can really relate on the movie. It is all about leaving everything behind and finding yourself entirely and your readiness to face everything in your life with all the uncertainties. My younger sister can't understand the movie and she even says, "Boring man na ate. Indi ako makaintindi". Yes, when the first time I watched it, I didn't understand it clearly. All I concluded that she ate on Italy, she prayed and meditated in India and she finally found her love in Bali. It's a unique plot that for a young adult like me, it helps to boost and enlighten my life in all aspect. It inspires me to have a balance in my life, not to be selfish but be a wondrous explorer.
While watching the movie, I remembered my 'panata'. It was to cut my hair short and not to have a boyfriend for the entire year of 2013. Well, Christmas is coming and I think I made it (That's my conclusion). I had a short hair last March and I think I need to trim my hair again, maybe next week. I don’t have a boyfriend or any guy right now. I'm not lonely and that's the one thing that makes the movie great. It taught me to be satisfied in everything and life should be in balance no matter what will happen.  Well, something just popped up in my mind and I think it also inspires me to write tonight. What if I will continue my panata for another year? What if this will help me better to know myself well? What if?

Well, I think I should offer everything to God. I think He has better plans for me tomorrow. Maybe I can make it for another year. From this day, I'm planning to extend for another year my life's status. Being a single for almost two years is great. It helped me a lot to have time for myself. It is also a great experience to know yourself more better and be ready for another chapter of your life. I can read books and I don’t have other things to keep in my mind except for myself. I know everything has a purpose and I think I will wait for my time. :)
